I’m working with a Biotech whose mission is to revolutionize drug discovery through breakthrough computational methods. They're looking for outstanding individuals to join their drug discovery group and contribute to a rapidly expanding pipeline and portfolio of discovery collaborations.
They are looking for accomplished industry professionals in genomics, bioinformatics and target identification to join them. You will work alongside seasoned biologists, pharmacologists and R&D Scientists.
Your role will be to provide strategic direction of genomic and informatic approaches to new target discovery and contribute to translational biomarker identification across the discovery portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define a strategy and execution plan for the company to identify and progress high-quality targets to initiate new drug discovery projects.
- Identify target-specific validation needs and work with biologists to execute the necessary target validation plan
- Contribute to the translational efforts in support of the development of their clinical assets
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. in computational biology, genomics, bioinformatics or related field with pharmaceutical or biotech experience.
- Experience in identifying therapeutic targets in cancer/ oncology areas, based on the evaluation of data
- Demonstrated experience in developing and growing people.
- Expertise in oncology disease area biology
