Toro Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a specialised High Voltage power distribution company for the DNO and ICP market. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Head of SHEQ to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards in safety, health, environment, and quality are maintained across all operations, driving a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. The company works across multiple DNO and ICP projects throughout the UK, so travel will be expected and required for this role. We are open to considering candidates who are currently SHEQ Managers in the industry and are looking to step up into a Head of SHEQ position. Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and manage SHEQ policies and procedures in line with industry standards. * Lead SHEQ audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. * Provide expert guidance and support to project teams to ensure SHEQ best practices are upheld. * Drive initiatives to improve safety culture and overall operational efficiency. * Liaise with key stakeholders, including DNOs, ICPs, and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and industry leadership. * Lead investigations into SHEQ incidents and implement corrective actions. * Report at the board level and oversee the entire SHEQ department, which includes SHEQ Advisors, Coordinators, and SHEQ Managers. * Stay up to date with industry standards, company policies, and certifications such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and Lloyds Accreditation. Requirements: * Proven experience in a senior SHEQ role within the HV electrical services, DNO, or ICP sectors. * Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, standards, and best practices. * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification. * Experience in managing teams and driving cultural change within an organization. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. Salary & Package: * £58,000 to £70,000 per annum. * Company car or car allowance of £5,000. * Office-based with site and client visits. * 24 days' holiday plus bank holidays. * Pension contribution. * Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week. * Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
