Sales Manager Industry: EdTech Salary: £50k - £60k Remote - occasional visits to the Midlands Our EdTech client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and actively contribute to their dynamic sales team. As a motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in the EdTech sector, you will manage existing Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Account Executives while directly engaging with customers. You will work closely with the Directors and other department heads to develop, implement, and own the overall sales strategy, setting targets and goals for the team. This is a fully remote role, requiring a highly organised, self-driven individual capable of working independently. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the sales strategy, including setting growth targets and goals. Hands on Sales, keen to get involved with bringing in new clients in the Education sector. Oversee the sales pipeline, continuously evaluating team processes and identifying areas for improvement. Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Relationships teams to ensure alignment with the company's objectives. Use analytical skills to track and evaluate sales performance data, adjusting goals as needed to meet targets. Provide regular reports on sales activities and future strategies to the board. Manage, mentor, and support the sales team (currently three members) to ensure they have the resources needed to perform at their best. Actively engage in ongoing professional development through coaching, training, and team reviews. Who You Are: Have experience in a sales role within the EdTech sector, with a good understanding of the education customer lifecycle. At least 2+ years of experience in a management position. Proven ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of an organisation. Strong data analysis skills to guide decision-making and process optimisation. Passionate about expanding the client base and community within the education technology sector. Excellent verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation abilities. Committed to continuous learning and maintaining a growth mindset. Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. Process-oriented while being adaptable to change and improvement. Familiarity with the SaaS product marketplace and subscription-based models. Comfortable using various software platforms to manage sales and workload (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, PipeDrive, HubSpot).
