Madison Berkeley are delighted to be exclusively instructed on a new role Asset Managing some of the best Office led Real Estate in London. The company own a number of prime and trophy assets, all of which have significant lease events in the next 12 months so it’ll be a busy and varied role. Their assets have significant retail, restaurant and leisure property on the ground floors and hence they are looking for someone experienced and adaptable enough to manage and liaise with a very varied customer base. You’ll take full responsibility for your own portfolio of assets, and work closely with the Head of Asset Management to support on other buildings too. It’s a fantastic role managing very high profile and high value properties in the capital!


The role includes:


  • Work with other Departments to manage, appraise and implement asset management initiatives across asset classes, including offices and hotels, with a particular focus on Central London retail to maintain best in class assets.
  • Actively manage lease events, expiries, breaks and rent reviews, to maximise portfolio income and preserve value.
  • Actively manage any void units to maximise income and preserve value and manage the leasing process with external agents and solicitors.
  • Management of all asset management projects by creation of robust business plans including direct responsibility for financial modelling, appraisal and evaluation.
  • Manage future sales and/or lettings while seeking to maintain or enhance asset value.
  • Build commercial relationships with key portfolio occupiers to understand their needs and the opportunities these might represent.
  • Manage the activities of professionals appointed to assist on asset management related matters.
  • Monitor & report progress of asset management performance (including all take-back assets) against forecasts with all risks and/or variances clearly identified.
  • Assist in the procurement and maintenance of appropriate ESG Accreditations for the assets within the Portfolio.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for each asset under management with particular focus on the asset management and leasing elements.


You’ll offer:

  • A minimum of eight years PQE including a number of years experience on complex, high profile assets and portfolio’s
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering enhanced asset value in complex, high profile assets and/or portfolios within a publicly listed or privately owned property company or institutional property investment company, family office, REIT or fund.
  • Demonstrable and substantial exposure to the London property market, in particular, with a substantial track record asset management of office, retail, residential and/or mixed-use portfolios.
  • Able to contribute to a wider multi-function property business including development management, property management and facilities management.
  • Highly articulate and numerate.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Demonstrates disciplined approach to asset financial modelling, appraisal and reporting. Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive portfolio value and asset performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
