About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shaft Sinking Miner to join a leading company in the tunnelling industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of large-scale tunnelling projects across the UK, working on shaft sinking operations in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the shaft sinking process, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Operate and maintain equipment specific to shaft sinking and tunnelling operations.
Work closely with the senior shaft sinking team and other tunnelling professionals to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.
Perform inspections, repairs, and adjustments as necessary to ensure operational continuity.
Maintain accurate records of work progress and report any issues to supervisors.
Requirements:
Proven experience in shaft sinking, particularly within the tunnelling industry.
Strong knowledge of tunnelling equipment and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and willingness to work shifts if required.
Valid CSCS card and relevant tunnelling qualifications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
