Labourers needed
SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit Labourers, for our client based in Huddersfield, HD7 area. Our client supplies bespoke interior design for all leisure and hospitality spaces.
The labourer will be responsible for performing physical, manual tasks to assist in the preparation of building for renovation projects. This role includes tasks such as site preparation, material handling, demolition, and general clean-up to ensure the workspace is ready for construction and renovation activities.
Ideal candidate for a Labourers role will have:
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools (hammers, drills, saws) and equipment.
- Understanding of worksite safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail when working with demolition and building preparation tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties of a Labourers
- Assist in the preparation of the building or area for renovation by moving materials, furniture, or equipment.
- Clear the site of debris, waste, and hazardous materials as required.
- Perform basic demolition tasks such as removing old structures, flooring, tiles, or wall coverings.
- Operate hand and power tools for minor demolition work.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas.
- Organize and store building materials and supplies in a clean and accessible manner.
- Ensure that work areas are clean, free from hazards, and ready for further renovation activities.
- Regularly remove debris, dust, and waste from the site and dispose of them following health and safety guidelines.
- Carry out any additional tasks as instructed by the site manager or foreman.
Shift times for a Labourers:
- Monday to Friday
- 8am-4pm
- This is temporary role (1-2 week contract)
Pay Rates for Labourers:
- 15/ hour
