Compliance Officer – Northwich - £30k (pro-rata) + benefits Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to manage and oversee various compliance functions within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the BRC standard, managing technical specifications, drafting policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and leading audits across different compliance areas. Ideally working 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, 2 days office based the rest to work hybrid. Key Responsibilities include: BRCGS Standard Management: * Ensure the company's continuous compliance with the (BRC) Global Standard. * Develop, update, and maintain compliance-related policies and procedures. * Train relevant teams on BRCGS requirements and best practices. Product & Supplier Compliance: * Oversee the management of technical specifications for products. * Handle supplier approvals and ensure they meet required compliance standards. FSC Compliance: * Manage Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) compliance, including internal training and audit preparation. EPR & Waste Reporting: * Monitor and audit compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) packaging regulations. * Manage waste return processes and related compliance obligations. Risk Assessments & Audits: * Complete regular risk assessments and be an active member of the hazard and risk assessment team. * Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Requirements: * Experience in a compliance or quality assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing or packaging environment. * Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and FSC compliance. * Experience in drafting policies, procedures, and conducting training. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to conduct audits and manage risk assessments. * Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and suppliers.
