OverviewPen Underwriting are looking for a Business Development Specialist to help drive the growth of the business. This role primarily focuses on driving both inorganic growth and strategy, with a 50% emphasis on each. The main responsibilities include increasing the growth of Pen Underwriting through acquisitions, strategic hires, and effectively communicating the Pen narrative to key stakeholders both internally and externally. How you'll make an impact Critical thinking is crucial, and the ability to think from first principles will be tested during the recruitment process.Relationship building and being a self-starter are important qualities. The candidate should be willing to proactively build relationships with individuals they have never met beforeThe candidate should be comfortable working in ambiguous situations and be able to get things done despite significant uncertainty.Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
