We have an opportunity for a Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist to join our team based in Cambridgeshire ; the remit for this role will be to utilise molecular modelling techniques to identify root causes of issues and to recommend corrective action. Requirements: You MUST have experience of molecular dynamics and of molecular modelling techniques A Degree level qualification is essential A PhD in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Computational Chemistry or similar is very much preferred, and published in top ranked journals Knowledge of polymer membrane synthesis Fluent written and spoken English is essential Knowledge and / or experience of as many of the following as possible: molecular dynamics simulations (MD) density functional theory (DFT) Monte Carlo simulations coarse-grained simulations mesoscale simulations Lattice Boltzmann method finite element analysis phase field simulations Contact Chris Carter or Melanie Glover at Nicholas Associates in Sheffield for more details.
