National Account Manager - Retail - UK Lead - Future Sales Director Be the UK lead for this extremely ambitious challenger branded business About the Company: Our client is a disruptive and ambitious challenger brand in the FMCG industry, entering the UK with force. Already the number one category leader in their home country, with existing listings in the UK market, they are now on a mission to rapidly grow market share in retail and wholesale. Job Overview: As the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and growing key national retail and wholesale accounts across the UK. You will have full ownership of these relationships, ensuring the rapid expansion of brand presence and market share. This is a high-impact role, requiring a self-driven individual with a deep understanding of the UK FMCG landscape and a passion for building brands in competitive markets. Key Responsibilities: Customer Account Management & Growth: Lead and develop relationships with national retailers and wholesale accounts to drive sales growth. Manage existing listings and secure new listings to expand the brand’s footprint in the UK. Key commercial responsibility - P&L accountability, JBP's and Forecasting. Manage key head office relationships with grocery retailers and wholesalers. Identify growth opportunities and execute strategies to increase market share. New Business Development: Drive new business initiatives by identifying and targeting prospective retail and wholesale partners. Build and deliver compelling business proposals to win new accounts and grow existing ones. Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with the company’s ambitious growth targets. Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Category, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment of sales strategy and execution. Career Development: As the brand grows in the UK, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, with a clear path to leadership roles such as Head of Sales or Sales Director. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a National Account Manager or similar role within the UK FMCG market. Branded Food or Drinks experience welcome. Demonstrated success in growing retail and wholesale accounts, ideally with challenger or category-disruptive brands. Strong knowledge of the UK retail and wholesale landscape, with existing relationships being an advantage. Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building abilities. Highly analytical with a strategic mindset. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
