CNC SETTER

JOB TITLE: CNC Machine Setter Salary: £35,360 Days / £45,970 Nights Job Type: Immediately PERMANENT Hours: 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday Nights Also Available - great shift allowance for nights Location of Work: Rainham, Greater London, RM13 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: * Setting and operating of CNC lathes, * CNC Turning lathes & vertical / horizontal machining centres * Ensuring cycle times and outputs are achieved, report failings. * Complete quality checks against dimensional drawings * Using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers and gauges * Pass1st off approvals for production run * Log and record all measurements on the relevant check sheets. * To program transfers from the computer system. * Set machines as requested and ensure that cycle times are achieved * Using Ikegai, Index ABC / C65, and Citizens controls and conventional machines as and when required (Drills, capstan lathes, fly press) * Identify shortfalls for parts and components. * Assist with training new team members. * Maintain a clean, safe working environment * Maintain good communications and relationships * Ensure compliance with company procedures * Fill in for machine shop team leader when required.
