EV Charging Points - Senior Transport Planner /Project Manager

This is a replacement role for a current position in the team, with an initial contract of 6 months. An exciting opportunity is now available to join the council's dynamic and ground-breaking Transport Strategy team. This role is central to the borough's bold ambitions to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment, making our streets a place everyone can enjoy and tackling climate change. Main Duties: Project Management: Oversee the delivery programmes for electric vehicle charge points across the borough. Liaising with Contractors: Collaborate with contractors and strategic partners to ensure smooth project execution. Procurement and Contract Management: Handle procurement activities and manage contracts effectively. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the principal point of contact for procurement activities and engage with a wide range of key stakeholders. Enquiries and FOI Requests: Provide responses to resident and member enquiries and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. Programme Governance: Ensure work is managed in accordance with all relevant policies, legislation, and procedures. Performance Management: Oversee project delivery, research, performance management, and reporting. Requirements: Proven experience in project management, particularly in the context of electric vehicle infrastructure or similar projects. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to manage contracts and procurement processes. Familiarity with policies and legislation related to transport and environmental sustainability.
