Position Summary: Provide on-site project management for the client, coordinating efforts between client, SGS, printers and designers. Manage right first time artwork delivery within the UK business, bridge the gap between PMA, client brand managers, client Operations, Design Agencies and SGS to ensure excellent execution. Complex coordination between internal and external partners, removing roadblocks, driving process compliance, quality of packaging and making sure timelines are met. Main responsibilities: > SPOC for local stakeholders, SGS, design agencies, printers and supply points in the coordination of packaging development projects. You will be the privileged client interlocutor. > Point of contact for technical aspects: . participation in technical meetings (launch of range, contact with the printers, etc.) . responsible for PPM organization and press passing organization . technical point of contact for proof management . involved in Design reflection meetings & Kick-off meetings > Understand marketing needs for packaging change, type of change & timings > Follow-up of the production and deadlines, you will manage and coordinate the project, you will be responsible for producing KPIs such as: . On-time delivery . On-quality delivery . RFT delivery > Drive continuous improvement pipeline for artwork process and ensure alignment with global artwork process > Provide the client and production team with a clear visibility on the timing and the global roadmap > You know how to perform quality control and quality self-control by using the checklist > You will be in charge of detecting anomalies within the files and alerting the team > Be an expert of the graphic chain, execution of packaging in compliance with the applicable standards, guidelines and printers' specifications. Be responsible for the development & execution of packaging ranges. > Be the guardian of guidelines and you will keep the guidelines book updated > Review and challenge marketing brief to ensure PMA will not waste time in the artwork execution. Ensure text/labelling sheet & cutterguide are correct > Develop graphic chain timeline for each material change (forecast to FTP). Liaising with local & factory operational teams on file to print/ first production dates > Support approvers/reviewers to ensure comments are clear and approved on time to hit timelines > Manage the artwork forecast & planning > You will support teams and provide training to new members of our customer teams involved in the artwork process > As a key figure within the process, you will help maintain and improve SGS’s relationship with the Client. Your primary concern will be to coordinate packaging production via job instructions and schedules to complete jobs. Your profile : Minimum of a two-year degree or equivalent experience in the graphic arts industry. Minimum of 3 yrs. exp. in customer service or project management in the prepress or printing industry. Good communication & interaction skills to serve as an effective liaison between the customer and SGS facility. Logical and conceptual thinking skills to correlate job specifications, excellent decision-making skills.
