Job Description

Our client is a market-leading Alternative Asset Manager Fund, established over 15 years ago with an impeccable reputation within the industry. Our client is one of the most well-respected names on the buy side and adds immeasurable value to its employee’s profiles. The firm is looking to expand its London legal team and plans to add a Paralegal to its Litigation Finance team.

Given the size of the team, the role will naturally be very broad and allow the successful applicant a larger breadth of responsibility than you would typically get within a big institutional firm. You would sit within the London-based Legal team and engage with a dynamic range of legal opportunities, supporting the strategy leaders in optimizing the portfolio, while ensuring efficient and value-driven management of ongoing cases across all existing investments within Litigation Finance. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a team of well-experienced buy-side legal professionals - who are intent and committed to developing you.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assisting with the preparation of transactional documents, including initial drafts of funding agreements, side letters, and capturing budget increase requests.

• Management of case-related invoicing, submitting materials for industry rankings, and preparing capital calls and hedging schedules.

• Investor Reporting & Marketing - Gathering performance data, preparing slide decks, and drafting reports for co-funders and investors.

• Overseeing case budgets, ensuring timely receipt of case reports, and acting as the primary contact for law firms, co-founders, and external parties on routine, non-strategic matters.

• Attend external meetings with strategy heads, supporting both existing investments and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

• Law degree or equivalent qualifications - e.g. GDL, LPC, LLM etc.

• At least 1-2 years of legal experience, alongside a familiarity with litigation procedure and case management.

• Experience from the private practice law firm (Ideally in a Dispute group) or litigation funding experience.
