We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Analyst to join our Underwriting Operations team. Your role will involve working with the Data Analytics Manager to help enhance operational processes, manage regulatory returns, analyse and improve data capture and reporting, and advance the use of modern technologies to meet the demands of today.What you will be doing:Working with the underwriting and IT teams to coordinate and manage new external reporting requirements ensuring appropriate data is captured and reported correctlyProducing MI packs for various committeesCreating, improving, and documenting processes around internal and external reportingManaging regulatory return processes for a variety of external agenciesEnsuring we are compliant with our regulatory requirements and working with stakeholders to ensure correct data is being captured to do soWorking with underwriting teams to improve and streamline operational processesApplying technology to enhance the operating environmentAssisting with defining and implementing standard operational processes for new underwriting teams and lines of businessTaking an active part in Allied World’s response to new market initiatives for modernising business processingWorking with the business to define and document reporting requirementsCoordinating development of new reports and working with the business to refine and improve current reportingManaging user acceptance testing of new/altered reports with the business communityAssisting with processing in the Operations team when requiredWhat we are looking for: We are looking for a team player who can think outside the box, with the desire and ability to learn something new every day and show the initiative to apply these learnings and capabilities to help improve the business. A bachelor’s degree ideally in a science related courseExperience working in the insurance industry, ideally with exposure to Lloyd’s market, or a demonstrated ability to pick up concepts quickly and a good use of initiativeComfortable working with several stakeholders and teams, both internal and externalProficient use of core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point)Highly analytical with problem-solving skills and a very keen attention to detailAn ability to critically think, evaluate scenarios and explore solutionsKnowledge of Business Intelligence solutions such as MS Power BI and IBM Cognos would be a bonusAn understanding of process-flow mapping and analysisAbility to capture data, draw insights and present back to stakeholders to guide decision making and improvementsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbout Allied World:Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG, through its subsidiaries and brand known as Allied World, is a global provider of innovative property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions.
