Chef Manager Contract: Professional & Technology Services Location: London Hours of work: 40 Contract Type: Permanent This role is INTERNAL ONLY and at present we are not accepting external applications. The Chef Manager will lead and manage the catering team and service within the contract, handling high volume flow and a diverse customer base. Your role will involve delivering exciting menus and food offers that align with client expectations, using your exceptional culinary skills and creative mindset to ensure outstanding service and delivery. Job Description With a passion for food and a keen awareness of current trends, you will excel in team management, organisation, and communication. You will adopt a hands-on approach, leading from the front while maintaining a strategic focus on business and team development. The Chef Manager will be introducing innovative food concepts, utilising seasonal products and nominated suppliers to create an exciting menu that caters to a large demographic. As Chef Manager, you will be responsible for building a best-in-class team recognised within the industry, managing and controlling all aspects of food production within budgetary guidelines, and ensuring compliance with client, company, and statutory regulations. If you are obsessed with food, skilled in team management, and adept at driving culinary innovation, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.Key Responsibilities Responsible for planning and delivering of all menus, recipes, and production Ensure the production of food to the highest quality and service standards using current trends in cooking techniques Manage the efficient and effective running of service while inspiring the team Organise and control a team of 1 CDP, and 3 hospitality to delivery a high standard of food and customer service Responsible for all financially areas of the contract, including labour, purchase of goods, stock holding, weekly stock takes, cost of recipes, wastage, portions and communicating updates to craft team Effectively communicate with all the team on a regular basis, including daily team meetings, monthly documented team briefings, weekly management team meetings, 1-1's with all staff members once every two months and yearly appraisals Develop standardised recipes within saffron to include Allergens, GDA's and techniques for food preparation, which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimise food costs Plan and organise the requisition of all food related products, equipment, and other necessary supplies Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Experience as a Sous Chef / head chef within a "Blue chip" B&I contract catering site Strong leadership qualities. Must balance driving for results with the ability to coach and mentor the chefs, supporting development and succession planning Innovative qualities and highly capable of taking an active lead role within a dynamic team Level 3 food hygiene or equivalent The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
