Business Development Advisor
Salary: £28,994 - £33,650 (depending on experience)
Location: Hybrid working based in Nottingham, with travel across the East Midlands
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Advisor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about building relationships, generating new business, and promoting apprenticeship opportunities. The role is based on a hybrid working model, with some travel across the East Midlands region.
Main Purpose:
- Generate and secure new business opportunities through apprenticeship vacancies and upskilling programmes.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers to maximise revenue, ensuring a quality service throughout.
- Continuously improve processes and practices, contributing to overall organisational quality enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively plan and execute sales campaigns through telesales, field sales, networking, and social media to meet monthly targets.
- Develop a continuous pipeline of business opportunities to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
- Engage new employers across various sectors to generate apprenticeship opportunities.
- Research and develop a database of local and regional employers for targeted sales campaigns.
- Attend employer events to identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct employer visits, promote services, and perform Training Needs Analyses where applicable.
- Complete all necessary employer-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with funding and health & safety requirements.
- Provide excellent account management to maximise opportunities with new employers.
- Liaise with internal teams to coordinate employer recruitment needs and ensure eligibility checks for upskilled learners.
- Build positive working relationships across the organisation to share knowledge and best practice.
- Achieve individual and team income targets in line with the Sales Strategy.
- Maintain and update employer databases, generating reports and performance metrics for the management team.
- Be a company ambassador, contributing to the Sales Strategy with fresh ideas and insights.

You will have experience in generating business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and meeting sales targets. Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.
