Working hoursFull TimeLocationCambridgeshireThe RoleBambridge Lee are looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our ever-growing team.Bambridge Lee prides itself on customer retention and building long-standing relationships with clients which has enabled to grow rapidly into a well respected M&E Contractor covering numerous markets. Our projects range from £5k to £5M and vary in both sector and discipline, so this is a varied and interesting role ideal for a proactive candidate.You will be primarily site based but work closely and report directly to our head of departments.The Electrical Contracts Manager role plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating electrical installations and activities primarily on construction sites. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of electricians. The Electrical Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical contracts from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that electrical projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.Bambridge Lee are a forward thinking company who have invested heavily in software and technology to make the lives of our management team easier and more productive. Our management team have all come from being on the tools and have worked their way through the industry to becoming an integral part of the business.Roles and ResponsibilitiesContract Management:Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of electrical contracts.Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.Manage contract modifications and variations.Project Management:Plan, schedule, and manage electrical projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and budgets.Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise.Client Relations:Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding contract-related matters.Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.Provide regular updates to clients on project status and progress.Financial Management:Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.Approve and track project expenses, invoices, and payments.Conduct financial analysis and reporting on project performance.Quality Assurance:Ensure all work meets industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and documentation.Health and Safety:Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams and subcontractors.Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, plans, schedules, and reports.Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.Ensure all project records are properly archived.The ideal candidate will have:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management or contracts management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and industry standards.Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.Financial Acumen: Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing issues.Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software and other relevant IT tools.Benefits25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysExcellent Salary & Benefits PackageCompany pension scheme.On-site ParkingSick Pay (After successful probationary period)Company EventsPrivate Healthcare (After successful probationary period)LaptopNext stepsIf you feel you have the relevant skills and experience for the role, please forward your CV in the first instance with a covering letter to [email protected] you have any questions regarding this role, please feel free to Contact Ross Fairley on 01487 253103.Bambridge Lee is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
