Trainee / Graduate Print Specialist / Print Production Mockup Artist
North West London (NW10)
£24,500 upwards based on experience
We’re working with a prestigious client who specialise in bespoke packaging artwork, printing, and mock-ups, primarily within the advertising, design and packaging industries.
The company are known for their reputation of creating exceptionally high-quality end products using bespoke litho proofing techniques. Within their impressive and modern studio, you’ll find specialist areas that all play their part in the finished article – offset litho printers, silkscreen printers, hot and cold foiling, embossing, debossing, hand finishing, die cutting, varnishing and specialist ink usage, and much more, to add a truly unique look and feel to clients end products.
Due to continued growth and success, the business is looking to add a trainee to the team and are willing to invest in this person’s future within this unique and exciting area of print – you’ll learn all the required skills to become an experienced Litho Proofer. The role is perfect for a graduate, someone enthusiastic looking to join a reputable business where they can put their passion for colour and design into a fulfilling, unique industry.
The Role
- Learning every element of the process of litho proofing to the highest quality
- Assisting the existing team and helping to maintain the proofing presses
- Working as a team to ensure the overall smooth running of the studio and print room
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
- Keeping accurate records of ink mixing and print progressives
- Mixing and matching inks to fulfil client requirements
- Mounting stock ready for print
The Person
- High levels of enthusiasm coupled with the drive and determination to learn and succeed in a prestigious area of the print industry
- Some level of print experience or an industry relevant qualification i.e. recently completed further education (A Level or Degree), in graphic design / art and design, or similar and gained exposure to printing techniques during studies OR someone who has 1-2 years printing experience in another role
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, a people’s person who is easy going and happy to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- A good eye for detail and colour perception
- Based within a commutable distance of North West London
