OD Tech Specialist:


We are seeking an OD Tech Specialist with expertise in organisational talent transformation, design and development within complex tech environments. This individual will work closely with our Tech LT and our fantastic internal people team to shape and size the tech org to support OVO’s 2 year strategy and organisational effectiveness.. You will be instrumental in driving workforce planning, talent strategy, and leveraging and building out growth models to align our tech teams and their readiness with OVO’s core mission to become customer obsessed.


Key Responsibilities:


Organisational Tech Transformational Design: Lead the strategic development of team structures, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth.

Growth Models: Build out and utilise modern growth frameworks and models (e.g. Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), competency-based models to inform how we scale the tech org

Talent & Workforce Planning: Collaborate with Tech LT to determine current and future talent needs, using data-driven approaches to map out hiring and development plans.

Performance Management: Implement performance and growth models to help define clear career paths, enabling development for all levels

Cultural Stewardship: Ensure the growth of the organisation maintains alignment with our core OVO culture and value

Stakeholder Management: Work with department heads, especially within tech teams, to understand their goals and provide customised people solutions.



Key Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in High-Growth Tech Organizations: Demonstrated success in OD and tech transformation, and talk the language! (specifically engineering) within a fast-growing tech company

Experience in Organisational Design: Previous experience in shaping organisational structures within a tech or growth-focused company.

Growth Models Expertise: Strong understanding of implementing growth frameworks such as OKRs, competency models, and other tools that aid in organisation scaling.

Strategic Workforce Planning: Ability to build and execute workforce strategies that are aligned with the company's growth trajectory.

Tech-Savvy: Deep understanding of tech environments, including the unique challenges of managing and growing tech teams.

Change Management: Proven ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment, guiding organisations through periods of rapid growth.

Bring the outside perspective in to OVO

Strong project and programme management - OD, tech and development frameworks

Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills to make decisions based on data and growth forecasts.

Stakeholder Management: Ability to partner with senior leadership, department heads, and managers to develop effective people strategies.

Agile Skills - ability to build and develop Agile teams and ways of working
