Supply Chain Manager * Competitive Salary * Established manufacturer. * Respected partner to the Aviation industry * Great company culture We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Sharston who experts in the aviation industry and are looking for a Supply Chain Manager for the management of supply chain, purchasing and inventory control, you will also be responsible for management of suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality in order to maximise revenue/profitability and manage and maintain the inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system and related databases. The Job * Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximising available working capital. * Optimisation of purchasing, materials storage and inventory via the ERP system. * Implement improved processes and systems to reduce inventory through the removal of obsolete/redundant inventory, minimisation of overstocks and maximize working capital. * Establishing working relationships with suppliers; negotiate best price, terms, lead-times and resolve supplier problems. * Plan and develop strategy for supply chain initiatives and budget requirements. * Drive Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain to deliver productivity and efficiency improvements. * Manage and maintain the company’s inventory and non-inventory (consumable) items, including stock profiles, safety stock/re-order levels and locations. * Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks, to achieve targets and ensure conformance with audit/regulatory requirements. * Ensure that Supply Chain staff are appropriately trained and developed in accordance with industry best practice, procedures/regulations and any relevant qualifications. * Ensure that the stores/warehouses across the Interiors business units are efficient, meeting the needs of individual units and are controlled in accordance with Health and Safety/regulatory requirements; and that company procedures and standards are established/audited i.a.w regulatory and industry best practice standards. * Ensure incoming products and associated documents are ordered, receipted and managed appropriately, according to company procedures. * Assist Finance in matters relating to HMRC and the import/export of parts and materials. About you * Experience in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Stores Management. * Good negotiation skills. * Able to drive improvements and major new product/supply chain initiatives. * Experience in vendor management and supply performance monitors. * Significant commercial/product costing awareness. * Able to resolve problems and plan supply requirements and inventory levels. * Excellent computer skills: proficient in ERP/ inventory control systems; and good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio and Outlook). * Working knowledge of Lean and experience of implementing Lean tools in a Stores/Manufacturing/Workshops environment. * Experience and technical awareness to understand product specification requirements and influence supply chain planning/ordering. * Flexible and able to carry out visits/supplier audits. * Experienced in logistics/transport requirements and courier account management.
