Business Oversight Compliance Officer

Workplace Type: Hybrid (2 days in the office per week) About the role: The Business Oversight Compliance Officer will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements across the organisation’s business units within the financial services sector. The role involves advising on regulatory risks, ensuring internal policies align with legal obligations, and supporting the development of a strong compliance culture. Support Programme in documenting Financial Crime risks effectively through setting of clear standards of compliant business practice, assessing and reporting on the implications of regulatory change.Drive the provision of tailored financial crime advice and provide strategic steer to inform and challenge the business direction / strategy which is responsive to changes in both the internal and external environment e.g. provision of advice on emerging threats & vulnerabilities.Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess business practices for compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., FCA, SEC, etc.). Conduct compliance reviews and audits, identifying and addressing gaps. Provide guidance on regulatory changes and their business impact. Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures. Liaise with internal stakeholders to promote awareness of compliance obligations. Report findings to senior management and recommend corrective actions.
