You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Kao Data Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental standards. You will work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels, both centrally and regionally, to define, develop, and maintain the standards that underpin QHSE. In addition to leading Operational and Construction initiatives, the role will support all matters regarding QHSE across the complete business.ResponsibilitiesDefine, implement and maintain frameworks and policies to support and enhance the QHSE strategy that meet or exceed local, regional and regulatory standards, in conjunction with the Kao Data corporate valuesEnsure compliance with relevant QHSE legislation across the whole business through effective integrated management systemDefine and drive standards for creating safe work environment for employees, clients, contractors and subcontractorsOversee the development of internal standards and policies for all QHSE functions, and in conjunction with Compliance implement an audit frameworkGuide teams in standardising common reporting methods and KPIs to analyse performanceTracks incident metrics and applies findings and where appropriate engage outsourced OH&S consultants and manages their deliverablesWork closely alongside any outsourced service partner, Operations, Compliance and Construction to support all activities regarding QHSE Implement and manage training plans to ensure the correct methods of incident investigation, safety inspections, incident reporting, and compliance with safety laws and regulationsSupport Commercial activities and assist with relevant client requestsPlay an integral role in the operation’s senior management team, to provide support, guidance and statistics to colleagues to help identify trends and implement improvement plansMaintain a knowledge of industry and regulatory rules, requirements and developments to ensure ongoing compliance and best practiceStakeholder Communication: Develop strategies for communicating QHSE performance and initiatives to stakeholders, including customers, SMT and Board members. Crisis Management and Response: Provide expertise in developing and refining crisis management and emergency response plans, and ensure the SMT and board are prepared for potential QHSE-related emergencies.Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Assist in budgeting for QHSE initiatives and advise management and finance on the allocation of resources to effectively address QHSE needs.Candidate requirementsExperience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant QHSE experience within the datacenter or critical services industryA recognised safety, quality or environmental qualification (diploma level or equivalent) Experience and accredited to audit ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001NEEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)Certified Environmental Professional Proven track record of managing QHSE functions across multiple countries within a multi-site and multi region data centre environmentDemonstrable ability to implement new frameworks, policies and proceduresExcellent commercial and business development skillsPersonal skills:Demonstrable skills in leadership, management, and collaboration.Ability to lead, teach and mentorStrategic thinking individual with a structured and target-oriented approach.Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for quality and accuracy.Process driven.Outstanding relationship-builder and communicator, both internally and externally.Ability to adapt and guide teams through dynamically changing environments.Self-motivation and an ability to use one’s own initiative.A passion for listening to stakeholders and customers and a world-class service mentality.Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to articulate complex problems in a clear and methodical way Willing and able to travel.Please apply using the apply link with an updated CV.
