CLASS 1 DRIVER - NIGHTS MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES BETWEEN £17.00 PER HOUR People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Oldham. Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to: • Trunking between depots (1-3 runs per shift) working on curtain side • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers • Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: • Hold a valid UK CE Licence • Must have a minimum 12 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicles • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes. • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English • Experience operating various trailer types • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills • Effective communication skills • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines Desirable Experience • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
