Paediatric Nurse working in the community Band: 6 Hours: 37.5 hours / mixed shift pattern Type: Full Time/Permanent Location: Surrey, Sussex Daily travel will be expected Salary: Between £32,240 - £37,960 per annum + Car allowance /Car (c£4k) + enhancements (%)Are you passionate about providing exceptional paediatric care? Join our clients dynamic and skilled community team, dedicated to delivering the highest standards of education to patient's families and caregivers. In this role, you will collaborate with designated hospitals and centres to deliver expert education to patient's families and care givers within the Sussex area. You will be responsible for the safe administration of parenteral nutrition, biologic therapies and intravenous medications and to administer these medications to children as required. Your goal will be to optimize therapeutic benefits, enhance treatment adherence, and ensure a positive patient experience, all while adhering to quality and contractual standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct training interactions to ensure patient's family or care givers are able to safely administer medication prior to patient leaving hospital. Undertake a clinical assessment of patients to ensure they are well enough to receive treatment, including completing any required observations such as o2 saturation, blood pressure and heart rate. Provide on-going support to patients through the combination of support programmes to include telephone, clinic-based and home visits as per product and client protocols. Report adverse drug events as per protocol e.g. informing pharmacy and client nominated clinical contactBenefits include: Car allowance or car Weekend & evening enhancements (%) Contributory pension scheme Private healthcare cover Death in service x4 salary Annual Holiday - 33 days (including bank holidays) Professional registration paid for Training & Development Company mobile phone and tablet device Comprehensive company inductionRequirements for this role: RSCN or RN-C - NMC qualified Experience in a Paediatric Nurse setting, either in hospital or community environment Clinical skills required include clinical assessment, administering sub-cutaneous injections and cannulation Strong understanding of therapies relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions Close attention to detail and follows rules and protocols; quality oriented Strong communication skills A team player that builds strong relationships with others both within and outside the business Strong customer and patient focus Makes good use of available time, well-developed planning & organisational skills Adaptable to change; flexible enough to cope with changing service demands
