Our core purpose is to help people feel safe and secure at home so they can live full and independent lives.About our Superstar role Part time Cook working 2 days per week, 8 hours per day, no late nights great work/home balance, the service is based in Renfrew with good transport links minutes from Braehead. Your will be delivering a fantastic service of healthy and nutritional meals to our customers as well as treats likes cakes and bakes.You must be confident in maintaining environmental health regulations within our kitchens and maintaining cleanliness in this area.You will be managing stock and ordering goods with an emphasis on good local produce to ensure that our customers have a wide and varied menu choice.Our superstar cook should also have some knowledge on special diets such as diabetic, allergen free and soft diets.What we need our Superstar cook to have in skills and attributes to join our fantastic team.To join us you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.Good team working skills.Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.Flexible approach to work with the ability to emphasise with vulnerable adults.Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.Basis IT skills.Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.It would be helpful if our Superstar Cook had the following. A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.Ideally, one year's experience in a similar / equivalent role.
