Design Engineer

My client is a small privately owned company that has been Manufacturing hydraulic Cylinders and components for over 50-years. They’re looking for a person to join the Engineering Team. As part of the Engineering Team, you will be required to take on varying tasks which include but are not limited to the following. Duties: * Produce and/or update Assembly, Detail and Quotation Drawings * Produce Bills of Materials * Produce Quotations from customer specifications. * Occasional visits to customers. * Hands on work both inside HCL and occasionally at customer’s site. * Produce Product Test Specifications. * Produce Engineering Design Specifications. The ideal candidate would have the following skills however training can be provided where necessary: * Solidworks 3D Design Package. * AutoCad based 2D design. * Use of Microsoft O3ice Tools which include Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc. * Knowledge of the latest Manufacturing Processes. * Experience in a Mechanical Engineering Discipline / Design O3ice. * Capable of working on their own to meet customer deadlines
