Operations Manager Active Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and highly capable Operations Manager to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing companies. Our client, a leading player in the fashion industry, is looking for a dedicated individual to oversee and manage the entire order fulfillment process, from customer order placement through to delivery. This role will report directly to the CEO and will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the business. About the Role In this exciting and demanding position, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and managing the overall operations. While you will not initially have direct reports, your role will involve liaising with external partners and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of operations. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives under pressure and is ready to make a significant impact. Key Responsibilities * Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with factories and suppliers to ensure quality fulfilment of customer orders. * Data Analysis: Analyse sales trends, produce reports, and provide actionable recommendations to the CEO regarding stock levels and procurement strategies. * Order Fulfilment: Oversee the entire order fulfilment process, ensuring accuracy from customer purchase to delivery. * Quality Control: Address any quality issues with suppliers and manage customer returns effectively. * Project Coordination: Lead the coordination of the exclusive dress collection, managing timelines and budget constraints to ensure successful launches. * Reporting: Maintain and update multiple spreadsheets and data systems to track orders and inventory status, providing timely updates to the retail team. * Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process automation, and efficiency enhancements across operations. * Business Development: Assist in researching and executing strategic initiatives aimed at business growth and development. * Financial Management: Reconcile invoices and manage budgets in alignment with agreed targets. Key Skills and Requirements * Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. * Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret data to inform business decisions. * Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to manage relationships with external suppliers. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple workload streams during peak seasons. * Self-motivated with a strong problem-solving mindset and capability to work independently. * Fully proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems. * Previous experience in the fashion or retail industry is a plus, but not essential. Job Details * Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with flexible options). * Salary: Up to £46,500 (inclusive of performance-related bonuses). * Location: Based near Lincoln, with the potential for hybrid working up to 2 days a week. * Benefits: 20% staff discount, company trips, and Star of the Month awards.
