Financial Planning Analyst

Key responsibilities:

• Working with the FP&A manager to help delivery of commercial objectives.
• Become a dynamic and trusted business partner throughout the business.
• Support the wider financeteam in the delivery of accurate information.
• Partner with the business to help achievecommercial objectives and manage departmental performance versus targets.
• Actively participate in the monthly financial planning meetingswith
• departments across the business.
• Actively participate in the monthly commercial meetings with sales channel stakeholders.
• Support with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Support with commercial business reporting – management information packs, presentation packs and trading KPIs.
• Continuously identify and implement reportsto meet business needs within Jet Analytics and BI.
• Contribute to and in some instances own various projects throughout the business.
• Undertake external market analysis and comparative performance
• benchmarking.
• Support with the creation of financial modelsto analyse and assist with commercial decisions.
• Undertake calculation and posting of journals in regard to the monthly management accounts where required.

Key requirements:

• Relevant financial qualification or studying towards a professional qualification, preferably CIMA.
• Tenacity to problem solve to final solution.
• Curiosity to understand the business, how things work and the ability to see how to improve them.
• Confidence to work on tasks autonomously.
• Demonstrable experience from within a multi-channel multi-site business.
• Excellent commercial acumen, able to create various financial models to assist with decision making.
• Experience of creating commercial business reports.
• Demonstrable knowledgeof Microsoft Nav, Jet Analyticsand Power BI
• Excellent attention to detail, able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and diligence.
• Demonstrable experience of month end reporting, including the calculation and posting of journals.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders throughout the business.
• Relevant Industry experience preferable
