Senior Product Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join a leading, online Tour Operator as a Senior Product Development Manager.The role of the Senior Product Development Manager will support the business in driving forward our client's product range in line with an ambitious growth strategy. The candidate will be required to own new destination development, bedbank relationships and key hotel chain relationships within the business.Previous experience within a similar product / purchasing role within the travel sector is essential for the position and in return, our client can offer a highly competitive salary of £50k, plus excellent industry benefits. Hours of work are Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.If this role is of interest to you, please contact us today for a confidential chat, or apply online.Role of Senior Product Development Manager:Full ownership and responsibility for key bedbank and global hotel chain relationships across the business, for negotiating market leading rates, contract terms and exclusive offersFull ownership and responsibility for the XML/API strategy of the business, ensuring the most efficient, cost effective and accurate technical solutions are found for delivering connected supplier rates into the businessAccountability for the trading performance of designated product linesCreation of the product strategy for new destinations using market research, competitor analysis and performance reviewsDevelopment and management of strong supplier relationships (at all levels) across a range of product types and across a range of international destinationsEnsuring all designated Product lines and suppliers adhere to full Health and Safety requirementsDeveloping and sourcing funding for marketing opportunities from suppliersSupporting the sales teams with product training and informationWorking with IT teams on technical solutions for connectivitySkills required for the role:Previous experience working within a Product/Purchasing management role within a UK Tour Operator - essentialPrevious experience of working with supplier connectivity technologies and the processes for the delivery of hotel rates - essentialStrong knowledge of the online travel sectorStrong commercial acumenExcellent attention to detailExcellent negotiation skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsConfident decision makerIf you’re interested in learning more about this Senior Product Development Manager role, please contact Succeed Recruitment Solutions or press the apply online button now!Not for you?
