The below job description will outline this position of: Field Service Engineer (marine engines) Typically, this person will be a core member of the Field Service Team, focusing on driving high standards whilst carrying out fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and in situ overhaul of various brands of engines, transmissions, axles and transfer cases. Duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer (engines & transmission): * You will: Safely handle, disassemble and clean dirty, used components followed by inspection to obtain new parts identification. * Re-assembly of mainly engines, transmissions, axles, and transfer cases * This position sees lots of diagnosis and repair of failed units, therefore a high degree of mechanical and electronic understanding is required * Complete any works within the agreed time set by the company * Ability to work in the field (based from home) but also in the Workshop which is based in Glasgow when needed * Test and evaluate completed units to ensure product reliability and ultimately - customer satisfaction * Complete service reports * Offer training to new team members Qualifications and requirement for the Field Service Engineer (engines & transmission): * Full UK Driving Licence * Full UK Passport This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role
