The Senior Producer is responsible for creative, financial and operational planning and management on TLE productions and associated offerings. Your work will ensure that TLE delivers its productions on time, on budget and with creative integrity. As well as taking production concepts from idea to reality, the Senior Producer will lead on production-level deal-making and contractual negotiations and will leverage TLE’s IP to grow the brand in the UK and internationally. This is a full-time role at the heart of the company, working closely alongside TLE’s Executive Producer, senior leadership team, HODs and freelance creative, production and performance teams.We are looking for an individual with considerable experience in theatrical and/or event producing, working on complex and large-scale productions in both site-specific and traditional performance environments. You’ll have had experience producing commercial productions (ideally in the West End or similar), IP licensing (both the acquisition and selling of IP rights and/or products), complex contractual negotiations (including with the relevant unions) and some experience in touring productions. You will have a superb network of strategic partnerships that can be leveraged to grow TLE. You will bring new and transformative processes to the department and are an inspiring and effective leader of our creative, production and running teams.Key duties and responsibilities:Creative producing: identifying, recruiting and contracting the creative and performing teams on TLE productions, including negotiating and drafting deal terms such as fees and royalty structures.Event producing: realise TLE production concepts from idea to reality, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and with creative integrity. Create, coordinate and manage all TLE production activities and budgets from inception to conclusion.General Management: ensure productions run smoothly and at a consistently high standard across their performance lifecycle. Lead on reviewing show reporting (including show reports, customer feedback), identifying, actioning and problem solving issues as they arise. Work closely with the Head of Finance to review production-level commercial data to ensure appropriate budget and cost control.Production talent acquisition and management: work alongside TLE’s People Manager and Head of Production to recruit, contract and line manage all creative, performer and running team personnel. This includes identifying appropriate staffing structures and roles, drafting job descriptions, selecting candidates for interview, offering roles, and overseeing probation periods (where required). You will build an industry-leading ‘black book’ of creative, performance and production contacts to be utilised when staffing our productions.Licensing/JVs: identify, develop and leverage strategic partnerships to grow TLE in the UK and internationally through licence opportunities (including both the acquisition of rights and the selling of TLE licence opportunities), joint ventures or other commercial models. Commercial forecasting and management: work closely with TLE’s senior leadership team to identify strong commercial models (existing and new) for our productions. Create production budgets/forecasts and manage accurately across production lifecycles, ensuring commercial targets are met accordingly.Company culture: Contribute and adhere to TLE’s company culture, making this a place where great people do their best work.
