Psychology Teacher Location: Medway, Kent Salary: £120 - £250 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Immediate start or January 2024 Contract: Full-time, Long-term GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join a secondary school in Medway, Kent. The successful Psychology Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the subject, preparing students for success in exams and beyond. Key Responsibilities of the Psychology Teacher: Deliver outstanding lessons in Psychology across all Key Stages, ensuring that students are fully supported in their academic progress. Encourage students to develop a thorough understanding of psychological concepts by using varied teaching approaches and resources. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised support to help them reach their full potential. Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate. Collaborate with the Psychology department and other colleagues to enhance curriculum development and student outcomes. Participate in relevant departmental meetings and professional development activities. Essential Criteria for the Psychology Teacher Role: A degree in Psychology or a related subject, alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification. Previous experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-level within a UK secondary school. Strong knowledge of the Psychology curriculum and a passion for the subject. The ability to inspire and challenge students through creative and engaging teaching methods. Effective communication skills and excellent classroom management abilities. Please note that this role requires a strong understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
