Job Title: Principal Systems EngineerLocation: Portsdown Technology Park, PortsmouthSalary: Up to £68,013 depending on skills and experienceWhat you'll be doing:Developing of the tool setup, configuration and scenario files, such as Wireshark DissectorsMaintaining of the toolset that is deployed across the integration labsPerforming post event analysis of the recorded Combat System dataOrganising and conducting toolset trainingCarrying out the configuration management of the deployed toolsetDeveloping the future tools and maintaining the toolset roadmapYour skills and experiences:Essential:Extensive software & script development experience on Windows and Linux platforms in most of the following: C/C++/C#, Shell scripts, Perl, Python, PHP, SQLSound understanding of IP networksGood understanding of virtualisation technologies & containerisationUnderstanding of how synthetic environments support system integration and how they interface to the system under testGood understanding of systems engineering methodologies and experience of the full lifecycleDesirable:Ability to grasp emergent technologies and understand how these can be applied to existing or future integration toolsAble to respond to rapidly changing circumstancesIn depth understanding of data recording and/or analysis tools such as Wireshark, and their application over the integration lifecycleApplicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.Benefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
