Chemical Process Engineer

Job Title: Chemical Process Engineer Location: Birmingham, UK Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (Days) About the Company: We are a leading international chemical firm with a strong presence in Birmingham. Role Overview: As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing chemical processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You’ll play a critical role in troubleshooting and enhancing chemical processes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement across the plant. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes to improve production efficiency and product quality. Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement to minimize waste and maximize yield. Ensure that all processes meet environmental and safety regulations. Collaborate with maintenance, production, and R&D teams to develop and implement process improvements. Lead or support process troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Maintain detailed documentation of process designs, changes, and results.Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in a process engineering role within the chemical or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of chemical process design, optimization, and safety standards. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders.Benefits: Competitive salary between £50k - £55k.
