Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator for our client based in Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking and fabrication, demonstrating proficiency in various welding techniques and the use of power and hand tools. This role is essential for producing high-quality metal components that meet specific design requirements and standards.
Working alongside a small, dedicated team of sheet metal workers/fabricators, you will be responsible for, and must have experience in:
Fabricating jobs to an acceptable quality standard using engineering drawings, works instructions / specifications and Manufacturing Information Documents
Fabricating bespoke products from mild/stainless steel and aluminium
Experience of MIG and TIG welding is essential
Self-checking and being accountable for own quality of work.
Driving license essential as will be required to regularly work on various sites
Forklift license would be an advantage
Experience using general fabrication workshop equipment
Essential requirements
Minimum of 5yrs all round sheet metalwork/fabrication, Tig/Mig welding experience.
Ability to work individually or within a small team of sheet metal workers/fabricators, taking the lead on site. (Will be given priority for site work overtime)
Able to read & work from customer and engineering drawings as required to complete projects to a high standard with small tolerances.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
Experience with power tools and hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication.
Basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and assembling materials precisely.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of workmanship are consistently met.

Hours: Monday Thursday 7.00am 4.00pm and Friday 7.00am 1.00pm
Over-time available Paid at enhanced rate
Salary: £15.00 to £16.00 per hour
