About the role: As the SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with a small group of reception-aged children, offering guidance, encouragement, and tailored support throughout their learning journey. This part-time role will see you working mornings only, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility. You’ll collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to create a nurturing environment where every child can succeed, no matter their starting point. Application Requirements: • Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly ASD, is highly desirable. • A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, including ASD in a Reception class. • Assist with classroom activities, helping children to engage and participate fully. • Implement individualised learning plans designed by the SENCO. • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. • Liaise with teachers and parents to track and support student progress.
