Workshop Manager – Full-Time, Permanent Role – Shetland An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Manager to join a well-established engineering and fabrication company based in Lerwick, Shetland. This full-time, permanent role follows a rotational schedule of 3 weeks on, 1 week off, working approximately 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week. Flights, accommodation, and mob/demob fees (£125 each) are fully covered. About the Company: Since 30 years the client has provided high-quality engineering solutions to industries such as Oil & Gas, Marine, and Renewables. With a prime quayside location, the company operates one of the largest fabrication workshops in the area, delivering a reliable service to clients across multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Liaise with Project Engineers and delegate tasks to shop floor employees * Manage shop floor and site teams, troubleshooting and resolving work-related issues * Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely completion and quality standards * Ensure Health and Safety compliance and manage consumables The Ideal Candidate: * Time-served in the welding and fabrication industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience * Proven leadership skills, able to organise and motivate teams * Capable of reading and working to fabrication drawings * Holds a full UK driving licence Benefits: * Competitive salary * Company pension * Work vehicle provided If you have the relevant experience and are ready for a new challenge, apply today
