Head of mechanical engineering

Working on behalf of one largest Chemical manufacture company in UK with ties all over the world, My client, a Top tier COMAH, are actively on the look out for a: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer ready to make the leap, or an established Head of Mechanical engineer to be offered a progression opportunity to Head of Engineering followed by the Site Manager position. Offered is a lucrative salary alongside: Up to 12% bonus 37.5 hours per week, flexible start time Pension minimum 4% contribution client will match it up to 7% Private medical for the employee and discounted for the family Dental, Gym discounts Death in service income protection 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Below are some details on the role, Leadership, Line Management and Mechanical Engineering * Develop competency within the mechanical department. * Ensure continuous improvements of maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards. * Ensure attendance of the team members at required regular trainings according training matrix. Compliance * Involvement in process safety and hazard analysis (HAZOP) and process safety compliance with realisation of process safety measures within area of responsibility. * Responsible for management of change in relation to technical and engineering facilities. * Ensure the mechanical integrity of the plant consistent with corporate, and UK legislation and standards. Maintenance * Logging, evaluating, and controlling of the maintenance key performance indicators (KPI) * Take ownership of escalated maintenance issues, carrying out trouble shooting and developing technical solutions to safety, process, and reliability issues. * Feed into maintenance and shutdown planning routine and critical tasks. Site Projects * In cooperation with the Head of Projects; Identification, definition, and management of small capital plant projects within the budget and timeline. * Carry out engineering design and specify equipment for small projects and modifications.
