Electrical Estimator

Join a dynamic and growing Mechanical and Electrical contractor who specialise in delivering Commercial Projects to their clients which include Hospital Refurbs, Hotels, Offices, and Schools. They have successfully grown to a £10M turnover business with strong aspirations for further growth in the future. They are looking for an Electrical Estimator - your role will include tendering multiple projects with a value ranging from 10k - £2,000,000. You will be working with several others in the electrical department – including an Electrical Estimating Manager you will be reporting into. Duties Include: * Undertake the preparation and processing of quotations, bids and tenders. * Prepare Supplier and Sub-contractor enquiries. * Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors’ proposal documents to support bids. * Assess material, labour and plant requirements in compilation of the tender. * Produce breakdowns, substantiation and undertake value engineering processes to meet client budgetary requirements * Liaise with Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, Suppliers and the Client to establish the project specification, preliminary requirements, risk provision and exclusions. * Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary. * Ensure all contract documentation is representative of offer and reports, cost data and supporting information is accurate and made available at the appropriate time. * Maintain records and filing of information relating to submitted tenders. * Following up on submitted tenders/quotations. * Review unsuccessful bids, client and operational feedback on contracts delivered to improve accuracy of future tenders. * Carry out handover meetings for successful bids. Package Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 – Depending on experience Hours: 40 hours – 1 hour lunch – FLEXIBLE – E.G - 6am – 3pm or 8am – 5pm Office Based – Wokingham Holiday: 25 days holiday Plus 8 Bank Holidays Private Healthcare Training and Development
