Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Engineer. The Junior Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks with current engine test programmes. They will work closely with the engine build and engineering team to ensure the requirements of the build and test schedules are met.
Powertrains that we anticipate working on include specific-design racing engines, modified production engines in combustion, hybrid and full-ev configurations.
As we diversify our business to include the production of prototype and low volume cars and motorbikes to further the Mugen brand in the UK and Europe, there will be an opportunity for you to further your skills in our motorbike dyno cell. We will be expanding the capabilities of our facility in Milton Keynes very soon, and, like all members of our very small team, you may be expected to participate in all areas of our business as required.
Using our modern very well-equipped facilities, you will be confident to work under your own supervision, as well as alongside our senior team of engine builders and engineers representing a major global manufacturer.
Required Experience
- Experience of engine mapping on ECUs
- Good knowledge on performance and endurance development processes
- Familiarity with running an AC engine dyno
- Knowledge of motorbike dyno operation would also be an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Engine installation to dyno
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
