Business Analyst (MDM) Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum Location: Reading, UK (1 day per week on-site) Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity. My client, a leading Data and AI consultancy, is seeking a Business Analyst with 2-3 years of experience in digital projects, particularly in delivering Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. The primary objective of this role is to establish an MDM capability that will enable the client to clean and synchronize data across multiple enterprise systems. Subsequent phases of the project will extend this capability to other key data entities. Experience in the UK water utilities industry would be highly advantageous, though not mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Discovery Projects: Participate in 2-6 week strategic projects, helping to understand problem landscapes and create digital solutions for new clients or domains. Strategic Support: Provide business strategy support, assist in client engagements, and contribute to business development activities such as answering RFPs. Agile Development: Join cross-functional development squads, supporting backlog management, sprint planning, and continuous discovery processes. Key Skills: MDM Expertise: Experience in Master Data Management, with a track record of implementing MDM solutions that improve data quality and synchronization across enterprise systems. Utilities Sector Experience: Background in the UK water utilities industry is a plus, offering valuable insights into the sector's specific challenges. Business Analysis: Strong ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, focusing on delivering actionable solutions. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks, including Scrum, sprint planning, and backlog management. Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders. User-Centered Design: Proficiency in writing user stories, performing user acceptance testing, and facilitating user feedback loops. Technical Understanding: Ability to understand and support technical discussions related to data architecture, process mapping, and domain-specific analysis.
