Platform Operations Engineer

Role: Platform Operations Engineer  Location: Bristol | hybrid Salary: c. £70,000 + bonus + good pension + share options + private health Key Responsibilities: Support, maintain and improve highly scalable and reliable cloud platform infrastructure services, alongside day to day operations of the Cloud Platform and be accountable for its availability. Continuous improvement is a key ethos of the team and is organised into run and build squads, responsible for day to day monitoring / support and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance and optimise the services they offer. Experience required: Cloud experience with AWS ideally (Azure is OK) Linux admin experience (preferably Red Hat) or similar Proficient with Terraform and IaC Exposure to Agile software development methodologies (Automation, CI/CD etc) Nice to have: Comfortable scripting with one or more of the following: Python, Perl or Shell (they use Python most often) Experience with container technologies using Docker and Kubernetes Automating configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt) Why you would be interested: Tech for good - have a genuine positive impact on peoples lives Great culture and genuine people Opportunity to work on lots of different projects (and alternate teams) e.g POCs / Changes to K8s / Spinning up new DBs / self service / automate / OSP Patching
