Operations Manager - Fresh Produce Delivery Business
Location: London
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum bonus

We're a family-run business with ambitious plans, delivering fresh milk, fruit, and other produce to businesses, offices, and schools across London. As we expand, we're looking for a hands-on, strategic Operations Manager to join our team.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing strategic plans to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including managing our logistics, warehouse, and fleet of vehicles.
- Leading and developing a team of drivers and warehouse staff, creating a positive and high-performing environment.
- Implementing and tracking KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
- Managing budgets and financial performance, including preparing, understanding, and optimising profit & loss (P&L) reports.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with the MD to continuously improve operations and introduce innovative solutions.
Experience we're looking for:
Operations and Logistics Management:
Hands-on experience managing logistics, delivery routes, scheduling, and warehouse operations, ideally within fast-moving environments like logistics, FMCG, retail, or distribution centres.
Team Leadership and Management:
Proven track record of managing, motivating, and developing teams to meet performance goals. Experience in leading warehouse staff and delivery teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Financial and Budget Management:
Experience managing budgets and P&L reports, with a focus on cost control, profitability, and financial performance optimisation.
Strategic Planning and Growth:
Experience designing and executing plans that drive growth and operational efficiency, with the ability to scale operations and introduce innovative processes.
Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.):
Practical experience in improving operational processes, reducing inefficiencies, and implementing best practices to improve service delivery.
Customer-Focused Operations:
Experience managing B2B operations, working closely with clients to ensure timely delivery, and maintaining high service standards.
