We are looking for a creative andexperiencedGeneralManager to work in our busy pub restaurant in heart of Oakham, Rutland. The ideal candidate would be an individual with strong leadership and managerial skills, they will need to build a strong relationship with both the front of house team and kitchen team, regularlyliaisingwith the head chef. The candidate would have a passion for hospitality, with thisbringing new ideas to progress the business further. And also a knowledge of managing the hotel side of the business. The candidate will need to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that the customer is always at the forefront. About us Our family run business first opened its doors over thirty years ago. Since that moment, we have been striving to provide all of our guests with a memorable experience. We currently have two prime locations, and will be expanding our family further. As we will be opening new establishments in 2024/2025and beyond.Our company islookingfor someone who is looking to progress within the hospitality industry. We want our Proper Pubs to be fun and friendly places for our team to work; where you love what you do, feel happy and supported, and can help us create the best possible experiences for all of our guests.We will encourage anyone who has a passion for hospitality, to learn new skills through training and we will help you progress through the company.We have had many junior members of our team, move on to senior positions, such as Head Chefs and Senior Management.Were always on thelookoutfor the right teammember, someonewho wants to add worth to our company and is a creative hardworkingindividual. TheProper Pub Company is expanding, so as new sites open, more opportunities. What we offer; 40k per annum depending on experience paid weekly plus tips. Financial wellbeing support (moving cost etc...) paid back through salary. Live in optional. Help with finding accommodation. 28 Days holiday. What we are looking for in ourGeneralmanager; A creative individual who is used to working in a busy pub restaurant Someone who is good at build relationships with customers and providing fantastic customer service Strong managerial skills Good food knowledge Good knowledge on beer and wine Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers A level of financial understanding, including budgeting, weekly reporting Experience as aGeneralmanager Experience with the Epos till system orsimilar till systems Fresh Ideas to drive the business forward. Experience with cash ups and closes. A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and encouraging others to do the same. Flexible working hours. Personal licence holder.
