About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join our school in Borehamwood from January 2025. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students as they complete their primary education. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a class of eager, curious learners, preparing them for their transition to secondary school. You will inspire students to reach academic excellence, foster a love of learning, and encourage positive social and emotional growth.
About the school: Our school is a community-centered environment that celebrates the uniqueness and individuality of each child. We pride ourselves on creating a space where children of all abilities can reach their full potential, grow in confidence, and genuinely enjoy learning. Our school grounds are extensive, providing plenty of space for students to explore and engage in active play, sports, and outdoor learning. With spacious, purpose-built facilities, including a dedicated Early Years unit, a large PE hall, separate dining hall, library, well-equipped playgrounds, and expansive playing fields, our campus is designed to inspire and support both students and staff. Our commitment to technology ensures that each classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboards, and students have access to both laptops and iPads to enhance their learning experience. We also proudly support emotional well-being through our dedicated nurture room, providing a calming space where all children feel understood and valued. This welcoming environment, paired with a supportive staff team, makes our school a fantastic place to teach.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Proven experience in primary education, ideally in Key Stage 2.
• A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with Year 6 SATs preparation and assessments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Building a positive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and inclusivity.
• Supporting students' individual needs, including those with SEN or additional learning requirements.
• Utilising technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning.
• Collaborating with staff, parents, and the wider community to enrich the students' educational experience.
Perks and Benefits:
• Competitive daily rate (£160-£210) based on experience.
• Access to excellent facilities and resources.
• Supportive staff and leadership team.
• Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
• A nurturing school community that values work-life balance and mutual respect.
