Transport Administrator

We are looking for a Transport Administrator for our client based in Huddersfield. This role is an essential part of the support team and helps to keep vehicles moving and ensure deliveries arrive on time.

We are looking for someone with strong administration and IT skills. Ideally, you will have had some experience or exposure to a transport team, however this is not essential.

Main duties to include:

• Ensure all customs documentation has been completed on import and export shipments
• Liaise with planning and shipping teams to obtain and deliver updates
• Communicate with end customers when required, advising them of any outstanding requirements or providing updates
• Keep all systems up to date and ensure accurate information has been logged

We are looking for:

• Recent working experience in an administration role
• Someone who can work in a fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
• Good IT skills and the ability to pick up new IT systems
• A confident individual who can flag any potential issues to colleagues and customers
• Transport or Customs experience would be an advantage but not essential
