Head of Procurement

SRM Recruitment are working with a leading brand, looking to recruit a Head of Procurement to build a best-in-class function to support the business. They are currently in the midst of a transformation, which has resulted in this exciting opportunity to lead and structure the team and strategy. Whilst they are already a market leader in the industry, they have ambitious long term growth plans. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of building from the ground up, strives for continuous improvement and enjoys developing their team. You will be a senior manager within the business who will become a trusted partner to other department heads and implement the strategy across all UK and European sites to create a centralised, fit for purpose function for the business. The role: Coach and mentor the current team of 4 with a view to increasing this to 10 Lead the department to become a trusted function within the business operationally supporting all sites across Europe Manage the delivery of the full procurement lifecycle Assessing and managing new and existing suppliers, regularly updating the PSL to ensure quality as well as reliable supply chain operations Overseeing all commercial governance processes and management of all live contracts Implement and promote procurement and supply chain best practice throughout the business Scope 3 Emissions reporting Act as a trusted partner for all stakeholders, ensuring the function partners with them to deliver the overall strategy In order to be successful in the role, we are looking for: Previous experience in procurement transformation and/or sustainable procurement Minimum 10 years of applicable experience working at a senior level A degree related to one of the following; Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management or similar disciplines Has achieved at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply Other details: Hertfordshire Hybrid (3 days min in the office per week) Salary up to £100,000 + 25% Bonus Access to excellent company benefits This vacancy is being advertised by SRM Recruitment - Welwyn Garden City office.
