Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Controls and Instrument Technician to join them at Connah s Quay Power Station to support with ongoing EC&I work on site. They are looking for a motivated team member with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress.
Duties of the role will include:
- Fault finding and defect rectification to electrical equipment.
- Breakdown repairs to electrical equipment.
- Providing instrumentation support.
- Trouble shooting Control & Instrumentation issues.
- Carrying out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation.
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Instrumentation and control systems on industrial and or process equipment i.e. boilers, turbines, switchgear, starters, VFD s, pumps, fans, motors, drives, conveyors & control systems.
- Ability to interface and liaise with internal customers and other subcontractors.
- Assisting with technical input for proposals / tenders.
Ideally you will have the following:
- Clean Driving Licence
- Time Served Relevant Apprenticeship with a Minimum of 5 Years Experience
- HNC/HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing 2391
- CompEx Certified Ex 01-04 a distinct advantage
- Computer Literate
