Principal Oracle DBA

WeDo has recently partnered with a leading Microsoft Inner Circle Consultancy who are currently in the market for a Principal Oracle DBA to work with their global client. What will you be doing in the role? The end client is currently going through a three year transformation and plans to rebuild and architect a whole new platform that is absolutely key to the ensuring the businesses success! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working on-prem on large databases, but also has a desire/or currently works in cloud environments. Key Skills: Well versed in managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting. Proficient in SQL tuning, AWR, and optimization. Strong in PL/SQL, RMAN backups, recovery, and data pump. Experience with table partitioning and Oracle RAC for high availability. Knowledge of TDE, roles, privileges, and auditing. Experience with Data Guard and RAC. Proficient in OEM for proactive database monitoring. Well versed in PostgreSQL. Desirable: Knowledge of Pro*C, GoldenGate, and version control. Experience with Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, and automation scripting. If you have come from a consulting background that is also highly desirable. This position is fully remote for 95% of the time, however you will be expected to be onsite for the first couple of days to onboard. You may also be asked to attend client side meetings.
